And now this week it’s my turn, and I have chosen to introduce you to Tinklee Pinkerton from Call Sign Karma, my New Adult Contemporary Romance.

What is the name of your character? Is she fictional or a historic person? Tinkle Pinkerton is a fictional character. She’s a twenty-two year old fighter pilot. Her friends call her Tink and her call sign is Karma.

When and where is the story set? It is set in the present day, in the northern panhandle of Florida and in Northern Africa.

What should we know about her? Tink is the first female fighter pilot chosen to fly the Air Force’s newest jet, the same jet that killed her brother, leaving her emotionally numb. She is strong-willed and determined yet vulnerable and someone you will find yourself cheering for.

What is the main conflict? What messes up her life? She is on a mission to prove that her brother’s accident wasn’t due to pilot error and fly herself away from anyone who tries to get through her walls. Then she meets Locke Sinclair, a handsome stranger with a sexy accent and entrancing eyes and for the first time since her brother’s accident she is hopeful that she may begin to heal. Until she discovers, Locke is no stranger, he’s her superior officer sending their relationship into a no-fly zone.

What is the personal goal of the character? After she witnesses her brother’s crash, she not only blames herself but also her father (a lobbyist) for her brother’s death.  She’s determined to clear his name and reputation.

Is there a working title for this novel and can we read more about it? Call Sign Karma will be available on January 5th 2015 (Lyrical Press, Kensington Publishing). You can add it to your Goodreads shelves now and it will be available on Netgalley and for pre-order soon. The Cover reveal is coming up on October 15th. You can sign up to participate here.

And next on the stop is Heather Heyford on October 13th!

Campbell crop lo (1)Born in the Northeast, Heather Heyford learned to walk and talk in Texas, and then moved to England. (“Ya’ll want some scones?”) While in Europe, Heather was forced by her cruel parents to spend Saturdays in the leopard vinyl back seat of their Peugeot, motoring from one medieval pile to the next for the lame purpose of ‘learning something.’ What she soon learned was how to allay the boredom by stashing a Cosmo under the seat. Now a recovering teacher, Heather writes love stories, feeds hardboiled eggs to suburban foxes, and makes art in the Mid-Atlantic. The first book in her Napa Wine Heiresses series from Kensington Publishing, A Taste of Chardonnay, is available OCT. 13, 2014 in print and digital. HeatherHeyford.com
